Restaurant in Torrelodones

A building with almost two centuries of history stands on Calle Real 7-11, its granite walls having witnessed countless stories.

It dates back to at least 1830, when Torrelodones was a strategic point on the Royal Road between Madrid and El Escorial, and during the Carlist Wars, it played a relevant role in the defense of the Sierra.
Today, this space is reborn to host a project that respects its past and projects it into the future: a house where history becomes hospitality, and ancient stone merges with the contemporary art of the table.

Founders

Stephen Matlin and Juan José Canals Blanco are the creators of Orígenes. Two different trajectories, united by the same passion: culinary excellence and respect for the product. Stephen brings an international vision and the refinement of fine dining; Juan José, a deep knowledge of the territory, collaboration with local producers, and sensitivity towards the environment.

Together they have conceived a restaurant where haute Mediterranean cuisine dialogues with the soul of the Sierra, and where every detail is designed to pay homage to the origin: that of the ingredients, the place, and the people who make it possible.

Our Community

Torrelodones has its roots in the 12th century, around its emblematic Torre de los Lodones, erected in granite on the cliffs of the Sierra. Its name evokes the strength of the stone and the nobility of the landscape.
At Orígenes, we pay tribute to that heritage.
